Correspondence, Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company, 1866-1897.

Series 1-2 of RG 66-36 consists of correspondence of the Cleveland-Cliff Iron Company. The first series consists of letters in (1866-1884) to the company. The letters are from suppliers, buyers, agents, transportation companies and occasionally officers of the company relating to production, equipment, supplies, deliveries, sales and financial affairs. The second series consists of press copies of letters out (1878-85, 1887-88, 1897). These are mainly copies of letters out from C.J. Canda, treasurer (1878-85). Includes copies of letters out from sales manager of Superior Charcoal Iron Company (1897), and from the general manager of Iron Cliffs Company (1877-88). Both series includes an index within.
